I am currently training to become a certified Mental Performance Consultant and am offering sessions to help athlete improve their performance on and off the field. I am a student member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association and I am offering mental training sessions to help athletes improve their performance. The purpose of these sessions is to provide a fun and enjoyable learning experience that will help develop an athlete’s mental skills. I work in conjunction with the athlete to best determine which training regiments will help optimize their performance on and off the field.
We must first assess and understand each athlete through an in-depth introductory session. The goal is to outline the athlete’s strengths and weaknesses, in which a customized plan can be created to help improve their performance through the application of sport psychology concepts. Optimizing performance is a combination of physical and mental training.
As a dual sport athlete at the collegiate level, I played baseball and volleyball for John Abbott College, as well as baseball for McGill University winning the National Championship in 2010. However, I grew up playing for the Lac St. Louis and Pierrefonds baseball organizations, where my passion for sport and coaching flourished.
My interests extend into human behavior, development, teaching and learning and led me to complete a master’s degree in Physical Education. My strength in coaching and playing is attentiveness to detail, desire for perfection and knowledge sport, which has effectively translated into my sessions with athletes. I aim to bring passion, enjoyment and fun in our sessions. My goal is to optimize athletic performance through the application of sport psychology principles MST.
